Complex Moulding and Overmoulding Capabilities
We have extensive experience in moulding around metal stampings, leadframes, pins, coils, wires and other inserts. These processes allow plastic and metal elements to be combined into accurate, production-ready components with fewer separate manufacturing and assembly stages. ​ Projects can incorporate secondary operations such as wire preparation, soldering, forming, component insertion and final assembly. Depending on the product and production volume, we can provide fully automated manufacturing or carefully controlled manual assembly.
Engineering-Grade Materials
We work with a broad selection of engineering thermoplastics to meet different requirements for strength, durability, heat resistance, electrical performance and dimensional stability. ​ Materials used include: ​ Nylon, including glass-filled grades PBT ABS Polypropylene (PP) High-density polyethylene (HDPE) Acetal (POM) Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) ​ Our team can help identify a suitable material and manufacturing approach based on the component’s application and performance requirements.
Controlled Production and Quality Assurance
Quality is considered throughout the complete manufacturing process. Total Precision operates an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system and can provide 100% inspection and electrical testing where required. ​ Our facilities also include a Class 7 cleanroom surrounding a bespoke moulding process, supporting products that require a carefully controlled manufacturing environment. Sensitive components can be packed in returnable ESD packaging where appropriate.
