Testing & Inspection
Integrated dimensional inspection, electrical testing and performance analysis designed to verify components throughout production and before final release.
Quality Verified at Every Stage
Testing and inspection are integrated into Total Precision’s manufacturing processes to help maintain consistent quality from the first component produced to the final item released.

Production controls can include first-off inspection at the beginning of a manufacturing run, continued in-process checks and last-off inspection when the run is completed. These checks provide a controlled record of production and help identify variation before components progress into assembly, packaging or the customer’s wider manufacturing process.

Total Precision’s capabilities include coordinate measuring equipment for dimensional verification, together with purpose-built systems for testing electrical, electronic and mechanical products. Depending on the component, this can include 100% electrical inspection, Hi-Pot testing, leak-decay testing and flow-rate analysis.

By combining manufacture, inspection and product testing through one accountable partner, customers receive components and assemblies that have been checked against the relevant production and performance requirements before release.

Inspection You
Can Build On
From dimensional checks during production to dedicated electrical and performance testing, Total Precision develops the appropriate quality route around each component and its application.

Inspection can be applied at key manufacturing stages, while purpose-built testing equipment helps verify the completed product before it moves into further assembly, packaging or customer delivery.
Dimensional
Inspection
Total Precision uses dimensional inspection to verify that manufactured components remain within their required specifications. Coordinate measuring capability supports the accurate assessment of component dimensions and critical features. This can be particularly important for fine-tolerance moulded parts, pressed metal components and products that must fit accurately into a wider assembly. Dimensional checks can be incorporated at different stages of production, including first-off, in-process and last-off inspection. This provides greater visibility throughout the manufacturing run and helps identify potential variation before affected components progress further.
Electrical
Testing
Electrical testing can be incorporated into the production route for connectors, overmoulded leadframes and other electrical or electronic components. Total Precision’s existing production includes high-power connector components that undergo 100% inspection and electrical testing after overmoulding and forming. Overmoulded leadframes also receive 100% inspection and electrical Hi-Pot testing before approval and packaging. Integrating testing directly with manufacture reduces additional supplier handling and provides a controlled route from the individual pressed or moulded component to a tested product ready for packaging or further assembly.
Leak & Flow
Analysis
Purpose-built testing equipment enables Total Precision to support products requiring leak-decay testing or flow-rate analysis. Leak-decay testing can help assess whether an assembled product maintains the required level of sealing, while flow-rate analysis measures the controlled movement of air or another permitted medium through the product. The appropriate test method is developed around the component and its performance requirements. Bringing this capability together with component manufacture and assembly allows potential issues to be identified before the finished product is released.
Production Quality
Checks
Quality control continues throughout production rather than being reserved solely for the finished component. First-off checks verify the product at the beginning of a manufacturing run. In-process inspection monitors continued production, while last-off checks provide a final point of verification when the run is complete. These documented checks support repeatable manufacture and help maintain consistency across ongoing production requirements. Total Precision operates a Sage 200 manufacturing system and holds third-party accreditation to ISO 9001:2015, supporting its wider approach to controlled manufacturing and quality assurance.
