Complete Component Manufacturing
One of Total Precision's key strengths is the ability to take a component beyond the initial metal pressing operation. Pressed contacts, terminals and other metal components can progress into complementary processes including insert moulding and overmoulding, CNC pin and terminal insertion, electro-mechanical assembly, inspection and testing. By bringing multiple manufacturing processes together, customers can reduce the number of separate suppliers involved in production while maintaining greater continuity from individual component through to finished assembly.
Metal Pressing & Overmoulding
Where metal and plastic need to become one engineered component, Total Precision can combine its precision metal pressing and specialist overmoulding capabilities. Pressed contacts, terminals and other metal parts can be incorporated into mould tooling before plastic is moulded around them, creating an integrated component and reducing the need for separate downstream assembly operations. This is already reflected in Total Precision's manufacturing experience, including stamped metal components incorporated into overmoulded connector blocks before subsequent testing and packing.
High Performance Metal Components
Total Precision manufactures precision metal pressings for applications where consistency, repeatability and dependable production are essential. Its metal presswork experience includes electronics and sensing, electrical connectors, rail and selected automotive and off-highway applications. For electronics and sensing applications, Total Precision manufactures components including contacts, terminals and thermal tabs associated with monitoring, smoke and gas detection equipment. Within the rail sector, Total Precision manufactures pressed metal contact fingers for railway relay applications. Components can progress through specialist contact-tip fitting before returning to Total Precision for overmoulding and onward processing — demonstrating the company's ability to coordinate a multi-stage manufacturing requirement. Selected automotive and off-highway projects have also involved stamped metal components progressing into overmoulded connector blocks, followed by testing and packing.
